Lantern Company: Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

Part 1: Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of Lantern Company ("we", "us") about your use of the game. By downloading or playing the game you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.

1. Licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from (the Apple App Store, the Mac App Store or Google Play).

2. What you may not do

You may not copy, sell, rent, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the game or its content, except where the law allows it. You may not use cheats, exploits or tools that change the game or its purchases in an unauthorised way.

3. Virtual items and currencies

The game contains virtual items and currencies, such as Lantern Shards, Soul Essence, Bands and Collections. Some can be earned by playing and some can be bought with real money. Virtual items and currencies:

have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value outside the game;
are a licence to use content inside the game, not property you own;
cannot be transferred to another person or account. Every pack and Band shows its full contents before you buy it.

4. Purchases and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. Except where the law requires otherwise, purchases are final; refund requests are handled by the store you bought from. You can restore purchases of permanent items from the game's settings.

5. Changes to the game

We may update, change or remove parts of the game, including its content, balance and prices, to improve it or fix problems. We may also stop offering the game at any time.

6. Ownership

The game, including its art, music, text, characters and code, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Third-party licences are listed in the game's About page.
